Decades ago, at the beginning of his career, Michael Freedman helped transform Castro Street in Mountain View into a vibrant neighborhood with safer sidewalks, bike lanes and bustling cafes. Many of the creative solutions developed by Freedman are applicable to the Grand Boulevard Initiative. At this Walk the Talk Forum residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and provide input on how to make El Camino Real a more walkable, vibrant street!

This forum is co-sponsored by Greenbelt Alliance, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, Sunnyvale Cool, San Mateo County Transit District, San Mateo County Health System, Sustainable San Mateo County, Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, Sierra Club, Mountain View Coalition for Sustainable Planning, Urban Habitat, and Transform. This project has been made possible in part by a grant from the Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
